Attsu 1 - 5 Pirate Reserves

With a 5 game winning streak under their belts the Pirates reserves were keen to end the season on a high. A bare-bone squad saw yet another changed line-up face an ever-steady Attsu side. The last encounter was hard-faught with the reserves only scrapping through 3-2 at the very end.

The pirates found themselves with lots of possesion with the midfield aloud to play and dance with the ball. Joe was outstanding, linking up with Wes on the left and Jordan on his own up front. Sorry, that's Deco, Joe Cole & Drogba. Defender Adam Brookes decided to call everyone by his Chelsea heros before kick off. It lasted five minutes but helped spirits. The only thing the these tricky premiership wannabes couldn't do was hit the target!!

Real Bulwell 2 - 4 Wollaton Pirates Reserves

Wollaton Pirates looked to get back to winning ways against a much improved Real Bulwell side having done the double over Real Bulwell this season already. The game was to be played on a rubber crum pitch, it was many of the players first time on this surface. Wollaton Pirates settled into the game quickly putting some nice one and two touch passing moves together and created a few chances. The breakthrough came after 25 minutes when Joe Holmes recieved the ball in midfield and took it past three Bulwell players and hit an inch perfect shot which lobbed the keeper who was on his line. Wollaton Pirates then seemed to sit back and let Bulwell attack but with some solid defending and good tracking back from midfield Bulwell never really created any clear cut chances. Wollatons only other clear cut chance of the remainder of the half was Adam Brookes header that rattled the cross bar, 1-0 at the break.

Caythorpe 3 - 2 Reserves

The Reserves suffer their successive defeat in as many weeks to Caythorpe

Unlike last week however, the Pirates competed in all areas of the pitch. The early chances fell to the Pirates and they could have gone ahead early on.

Caythorpe took the lead, but the sides were soon level again from a corner that may have come off a Caythorpe defender (although I think Johnny may try and claim it).

The Pirates slump to their second successive defeat without scoring a goal.

The game started fairly evenly with both teams having early chances. it wasn't until mid way through the first half that Caythorpe took the lead with a bit of slack defending from the Pirates.

Caythorpes second cam minutes later with a quick break down their right.

Another website layout, I know, but I think you'll agree it looks good.

The three new news sections on the front page now given the Reserves a fair coverage on the site. (I know a few people weren't happy that the old site favoured the first team).

The news sections can actually be changed to suit you! You can increase, decrease, hide or even MOVE them around! At the top of each to the news sections there is a number that when clicked will show the headers of that many news reports! By clicking on the icon at the top right of each of the news sections they can be moved around the page. For instance, if you're a First Team player you can move the first team match reports the top of the page!

Don't get to used to where everything is at the moment though. I'm not too happy with where the next matches are displayed nor where the In the Press! feature is. I'll move/change these soon. (It's a work-in-progress layout  )

I've updated the menu section ever so slightly at the top, so take a look at that.

All log ins to the Admin section of the site and the Forum have not altered (the Forum may change to mirror the new site layout at some point)

Any questions or comments give me a shout.
