The Pirates finish their season with a home victory over Plumtree. The match started fairly evenly with little chances for both teams. On 11 minutes the Pirates appeared for a penalty after Roy tricked his way past a defender and appeared to be tripped, but the ref gave a goal kick instead. |

Abakon 0 - 9 Wollaton Pirates A goal bonanza for the Pirates as they took on Abakon for the second week running. They weren't expecting such a one sided game, but that's the way it turned out with Abakon only having one attempt on goal. It started well for the Pirates with much of the early possession and a goal on 10 minutes certainly calmed any pre-game nerves. Rigby, in after a long absence, took the ball from Pete, he looked up, saw the run of Joe, pinged it in his direction. Joe took the ball under control and fired home to make it 1-0! |

Wollaton Pirates 4 - 1 Abakon After last week's semi final was put behind the Pirates with a win over nearest league rivals - in terms of current points The game started bright for the Pirates with plenty of early possession. It only took 11 minutes for the Pirates to put last weeks defeat behind them. Who should pop up in the area to tap home; but Longy! Joe took a shot from just outside the right of the box. It hit a defender on the head, flew up, Frankie headed the ball onto the bar and Longy Tapped home with his head. |

Wollaton Pirates 0 - 2 Punjab Colts The Pirates reached the Semi Final of the County cup but no further. A highly anticipated match after the two league meetings earlier in the season saw the Pirates come out on top both times. Punjab started the brighter with an early corner and a powerful header just whistled wide. Punjab took the lead on 20mins. Their striker advanced into the area, knocked the ball past Doyle. Doyle stuck a leg out and brought down the player. Penalty! The Punjab keeper stepped up to take the resulting kick, sending Gary the wrong way. |

Plumtree 1 - 3 Wollaton Pirates The Pirates win again. Played at Grisham in West Bridgeford, the new changing rooms impressed the players. Plumtree started the brighter of the two teams with the most of the ball in the first five minutes, but they couldn't make their possession pay. The Pirates woke up, slowly, but got into their rythm. It took a while for the Pirates to their reward. |

Wollaton Pirates 5 - 0 Real Bulwell The Pirates started brightly after a week off. With 5 minutes they were on the score sheet. Roy picked up the ball up on the right and took it around three players and advanced into the area. The third stuck a foot out and took him down, completely missing the ball. Penalty! Captain Reeves stepped up and converted the spot kick. |

East Retford 1 - 3 Wollaton Pirates The Pirates advance in the Cup to reach the Semi Final. Played in the northern most point of the county, it took an hour to get to the pitch in the middle of the country. The Pirates didn't want to travel all that way and get beat. That attitude shone through straight away. The pitch was solid from the overnight frost, but the game went ahead. 2 minutes from the start the Pirates took the lead with Retford still asleep. Ollie, back in the team after absence, took it past 2 players, played the ball over the defence to Joe who played it inside the area for Long to tap home from close range. |

Melbourne 0 - 5 Wollaton Pirates The Pirates win again, but the score line doesn't show how close the game was.The Pirates started slow and nearly paid the price. With some key members missing, it could have been a really bad start. On 3 minutes Melbourne broke free at the back and their striker found himself one on one with Gary. Gary stood tall and if it wasn't for the poor shot Melbourne could have taken the lead. It didn't get much better. Passes were not reaching their targets, tackles were not being won and the general play was not up to the high standards we've come to expect from the Pirates. |

Wollaton Pirates 4 - 1 Mastec The Pirates win again, on a windy, sunny day! I apologise now for a limited match report. I was running the line and Dan was taking picks before he went on. The Pirates started bright as always. On 9 minutes Rigby stepped up to take a free kick just outside the area. Usual dead ball specialist Alex Reeves let Rigby take his chances. The kick was powerful, but not accurate enough to trouble the keeper and it flew over. |

Beeston Athletic B 0 - 11 Wollaton Pirates The Pirates continue their unbeaten run by putting eleven goals past bottom of the league Beeston. The game was as one sided as the score line shows. Within the first 2 minutes, Alex Reeves crossed from the left towards the near post. Dino came racing in only for the ball to hit him on the back of the head and the ball bounced inches wide of the post. Beeston then had their first shot. A long range effort was tipped onto the bar by standing keeper Burton then cleared from the danger zone. |
